Mayo Aviation has an immediate opening for an Air Medical Pilot - Colorado Flight For Life.

Essential Functions
• Is at all times directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
• Maintain aircraft and medical equipment readiness at all times.
• Plan and conduct all assigned flights in compliance with FAA regulations, Mayo Aviation and Flight for Life standard operating procedures with safety as a primary focus.
• Conduct a briefing with the on-site medical crew and FFL communications center to include crew status, aircraft status, service difficulties, weather, and reported or expected turbulence.
• Maintains active communications with Mayo Flight Control in accordance with Mayo policies and procedures
• Completes all trip paperwork and reports timely and in accordance with current company procedures.
• Promotes an active safety culture by adhering to Mayo Aviation’s Safety Management System policies and procedures and will be actively involved with corrective action plans and preventative measures.
• Utilizes the Mayo Aviation risk analysis tool for effective identification and mitigation of known risk factors
Other Functions
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• When not on an assigned flight, crew members will perform duties to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the medical aircraft and facilities.
Job Qualifications
• Working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations
• First Class Medical Certificate
• Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
• Multi-engine turbo-prop:
o Total flight exp.: 2500
o Multi-engine exp.: 500
o PIC exp.: 1000

Material and Equipment Directly Used
• Aircraft and complex aircraft systems
• Aircraft flight simulators.
• Standard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, & telephone.
• Occasional use of aircraft tugs and ground power units.
Working Environment/Physical Activities
• Areas of moving mechanical parts, equipment and various chemicals.
• Occasional exposure to loud noises and loud aircraft engines which at times require hearing protection.
• Occasional exposure to human body fluids/tissue.
• Periods of lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying up to 50 pounds-occasional, 50-75 pounds-frequently, 75-100 pounds-seldom.
• Bend, squat, kneel and crawl
